MEET THE ARTIST

Summer Kerr is a Virginia-based artist who creates original oil paintings on custom hand-cut wooden silhouettes inspired by landscapes and wildlife that define our region. In 2020, she began collaborating with her father, a carpenter, to create the custom wooden silhouettes that serve as the foundation of her work. Her work has been exhibited at Art at the Mill, VECCA, Berkeley Arts Council, Stifel Fine Arts Center, and numerous businesses and community spaces throughout Virginia and West Virginia. In 2025, her artwork was featured on two banners for the Town of Woodstock. Her artwork has found collectors in sixteen states through her online gallery and regional exhibitions. Summer is an M.P.A. graduate from GMU.
